Obama cheating scandal, is there any validity?

What we know about Vera Baker, the alleged woman at the heart of Obama's cheating scandal, is that she acted as Finance Director for Obama's 2004 state senate campaign. What we don't know much about is where the rumours stem from.

It seems as though many of the news outlets are afraid to mention the possibility that the holy and perfect above all Barack Obama may have slipped up between 2004 and 2008. Even FoxNews failed to mention the allegations.

Is it because they're afraid of being labeled racist or is there actually no merit to the stories?

What people might not know is that allegations of holy Obama cheating on his wife have been circulating for some time. The first rumours began flying some three years ago when rumours appeared on the internet. However, the rumours were dismissed due to a lack of evidence.

But now allegations are circulating once again stemming from articles put forth by the Globe Magazine and The National Enquirer. If you'll remember back, the enquirer did break the Tiger Woods scandal so their is some kind of reporting legitimacy to that publication.

Both articles quote Obama's former limo driver.

"I drove them to the hotel and they went in together. My services for the eventing were done. There was no indication that they were planning on leaving the hotel that night."

The driver went on to question the events finding out "they were staying the night."

Miss Baker "was not staying there so I found it a bit odd."

When discussing the events with friends the other night they passionately denied the claims immediately siding with the Obama camp and completely blowing off the possibility that, yes, a wealthy politician would even consider cheating on a spouse.

Coincidentally, my last blog post months ago mentions…you guessed it…a smiling politician cheating.

We know politicians have a unique history of doing such things. From Eliot Spitzer to Mark Sanford to Newt Gingrich. Even John McCain has admitted to cheating on his current wife. Finally, you can't have this conversation with mentioning wet willy Bill Clinton.

So why is everyone so quick to deny the claims and deny any possibility? What do you think is the likelihood? Let me know...

- Canada is searching for a national bird to rival America's bald eagle. A poll is going out to name Canada's new national bird and will be named when a bird receives 200,000 votes. What can Canada possibly choose? Canadian Goose?

The former presidential candidate has asked his mistress Rielle Hunter to marry him. After cheating on his wife (who has been fighting life threatening cancer for the past couple of years) and having a child with his mistress. He has now pulled off the ultimate betrayal and asked his long time mistress to marry him.

This guy doesn't even wait for his wife to recover from Cancer -- if she ever does....

He just leaves his family and will marry some slut.

This honour has been bestowed on 12-year-old Jordan Brown of PA.

What did he do?

The chubby little fifth grader received a shotgun from his dad for Easter and decided he blow away his dad's 20something year old girlfriend by shooting her in the face while she slept. Oh ya, she was also 8 months pregnant meaning he's charged in the infants death too.

Lesson, don't buy your fifth grader a sawed off shotgun for Easter, wait for Christmas.

Poor little Jordan has been described as an "All-American Boy."

Oh ya??? He was probably planning on going to college one day and taking over dad's farm too?

This kid is a psycho and should be locked up for a while. And, because he's being charged as an adult, he will most likely be in there until he's at least 30. That's scary...

In the "live photo" we see the Vancouver2010 mascot, while in the illustration we see 'Pedobear,' the official mascot for pedophilia on the internet and the Hero of Finland.

Urban Dictionary lists Pedobear as a mythical bear that stalks down little girls and 'goes to town' with them.

Now why would Canada choose pedobear as their mascot?

Whalers in the arctic are increasingly in danger as they are being attacked by environmental animal loving groups that want them to cease the slaughtering of whales.

The Sea Shepherd conservation group is continually attacking whaling ships for what they deem to be full of "murderers."

The conservation group throws molotov cocktails onto whaling ships, rams their boats and fires water cannons at whalers just trying to do their jobs. In an attempt to sink the vessels, they've attempted to board the whaling ships and take people hostage.

So let me understand this....

You are attempting to save whales by killing innocent whalers which in turn means you are murderers yourselves?

Does that make sense to anyone?

How about you try this. IF these whalers are in fact taking part in illegal acts then why not simply follow them and contact authorities that can arrest the men? But now, you've turned me against you because: 1. These are simply whales and who the hell cares if they die. 2. You are attempting to fight whalers by potentially killing them and, in return, doing the same thing you are fighting against.

I've never been a fan of conservationists -- In fact PETA really annoys me.

But something is seriously wrong with you if you care more about whales than humanity.

Get a hobby, a job and use some whale blubber to grease your frying pans in the morning.

Why I'm okay with American's taking Haitian children

Not only is it irresponsible to send children back into these conditions, it's cruel. Any parent who doesn't willingly want their children to be taken to the U.S. is selfish beyond belief.

As long as the parents consent, off they should go...Maybe even if they don't consent.

Clamoured outside the Canadian embassy, adults, children and entire families scavenged for help -- a way out of Haiti.

Now a group of American missionaries go down and attempt to rescue, save, help and feed starving children --most of them were orphans-- and they are the bad guys? It's funny because most of the parents interviewed said they willingly gave their children to the missionaries to bring back.

It's ironic because it seems people are always looking for a way out of Haiti. Whether it be floating on a rickety boat to Florida or simply drifting on an inflated raft, ask anyone where they'd rather be, I'll bet they say "anywhere else."

So a group of "baptist" missionaries --all the news outlets had to point out they were "baptist"-- go down and attempt to bring Haitian children back. Some were orphans, some were children given up by their parents, others were just wandering children lost without family. Either way, these people in no way stole infants from the arms of mothers or raided shanties in the middle of the night. They simply took children that seemed lost and without care, and attempted to give them a better life. A better life they would undoubtedly not have if they lived out their lives in Haiti.

Some people might argue that what I'm saying is savage and brutal, and that no child should be taken from their parents --to this I agree. But I promise you that one day each and every child taken from Haiti to either the U.S. or Canada will look back and thank those that brought them.

These missionaries aren't kidnappers. They enormous hearts and deeply care for the children that are struggling in that tattered nation.

If anyone doubts those kids would have had better lives in America, read the information below. Instead, these children will now live a life of poverty, hunger and illiteracy because they were told they had to stay in the poorest country in the western hemisphere.

They should have let the missionaries take them.

Knowing some of my buddies, they will probably think this is a free ticket to ride the beer goggle roller coaster. However, scientists are warning that beer should still be consumed in moderation.

Soldier Waterboards Daughter, 4, after ABCs fallout

That's what I call tough love...

An American soldier, 27, is accused of waterboarding his 4-year-old daughter because she wouldn't recite her ABC's properly.

He allegedly beat his daughter and then held her head under the kitchen sink after "refusing to say the ABCs."

The girls mother says her daughter had severe bruising on her back and then locked herself in a closet to hide from her deranged father.

While talking to police the man reportedly did not know what he did wrong in using this learning tool to assist his daughter in learning the alphabet.

Sounds logical...

A few coffee shops in the Seattle area introduced bikini wearing baristas some three years ago hiring attractive bikini-wearing females to serve patrons their drinks.

It seemed like a good idea until police discovered that -- you guessed it -- some of the bikini baristas were taking money under the table to let patrons fondle them and receive lap dance shows in the stores.

Apparently for $80 you can fondle the girls and take photographs as they put on exotic shows.

The problem? Sometimes the girls and the exotic demonstrations are in view of passing cars outside the store.

Police issued citations for prostitution and now some of the coffee shops face court dates.

At times complaints have rolled in as local residents are telling police that sometimes the baristas are "wearing less than bikinis"...you do the math....

The employees claim to make between $100-$150 in tips during six hour shifts.

One barista said "we just wear lingerie, or bras and panties. We have a lot of regulars..."

There's not too much information on this other than apparently a 12-year-old student was arrested and taken from class after doodling on her desk.

What did she write?

"Lex was here on 2/1/10" and "I love my friends..."

That's right all of you Canadians. The U.S. justice system will dominate you. We're not like that weak Canadian system that gives murderers two years for every year served pre-trial. We arrest you for writing on desks!

A New York man has some explaining to do.

Police caught the man using the "high-occupancy" vehicle lane on the Long Island Expressway. The lane is designed for car poolers most likely as a way to reward environmentally friendly car users.

Police pulled than man over as the passenger looked "dead" and very suspicious (I'm guessing similar to a Weekend at Burnie's kind of dead).

When the officer approached the vehicle he saw that the 61-year-old man had placed a female mannequin in the front seat to make it appear that his car had other occupants, therefore allowing him to use the car pool lane.

The man faces a court summons and a $135 ticket.

The officer simply replied "The tip-off was the sunglasses."

Mildred's Temple Kitchen, a restaurant located not too far from the conservative Canadian, is promoting sex in all of its' four bathrooms.

The Toronto eatery bills itself as one of the 101 places to bump uglies before you die.

In the bathrooms you'll find everything from Kama Sutra mags, to candles and pillows -- oh ya, and a toilet.

A store spokesperson told a local Toronto paper that they've "always had little trysts in the bathrooms," and that they're "taking it to the next level on Valentine's weekend."

Bathrooms light up when patrons enter to give a warning to those that might encroach on the action.

Customers must bring their own Jimmy's and a maid tidys up on the weekends.

Toronto Public Health issued a statement saying the sex acts are not illegal as long as they are not performed in the Kitchen.

CNN is releasing results from a long term study on whether or not schools should be teaching fifth and sixth graders Abstinent-only sex ed or Safe sex ed...

Drum Roll Please....

The results showed that over 1/3 of fifth and sixth graders that were taught abstinent only sex-ed were having sex within two years.

So the debate is over. All those crazy parents out there that believe their kids should only be taught about abstinence and should not be introduced to safe sex procedures at a young age, you've failed your children miserably.

Children are going to find out what sex is, how to do it and what temptation is like. You're living in a dream world if you think your little sixth grader is an innocent little boy. That's an astounding number - 1/3 of sixth graders were having sex within just a few years?!?!?!

Obama took heat because he cut funding to abstinent only sex ed programs. Maybe he did it for a reason, they don't work.

Teach abstinence, but also teach the other decisions and paths a kid might take.

Girl, 9, becomes youngest mother EVER..But wait.....

It's a boy!!!

Reports out of China say the girl was discovered and brought to hospital when she was already eight and a half months preggy. Two days later she gave birth via Caesarian section.

Apparently the family refused to talk about the pregnancy but allegedly had informed police of the girls condition.

So what happened here?

First of all, the headline is a bit deceiving. After researching quite extensively, it has come to my attention that the youngest girl to give birth was a five-year-old in Peru in 1939...what were they putting in her cereal?!?!?!

Although how she became pregnant is unclear, Chinese authorities stated that the case is being handled as a rape because anyone under 14 in China has no "sexual rights."

If they cut off your hand in China for stealing...what do they do for raping 9-year-olds?

Any guesses?

Believe it or not...gays are in the military.

I'm actually surprised they even let them in. Seriously, how can anyone want someone like this risking their life to defend our country and the liberty they don't receive at home?! We shouldn't be thanking these people for their time and service, we should be condemning them as abominations. Gays shouldn't be allowed to fight for liberty and peace around the world, or protect American borders. It's a disgrace that they risk their life everyday to protect the American people, some of which absolutely despise homosexuality. Yet they continue on and fight for freedom in honour of lady liberty. How dare they want equal rights under the law. How dare they fight enemy insurgents with that gay mind and body!!!!!

Okay, hopefully by the second sentence you heard the sarcasm in my voice. I honestly can't believe this is still up for debate in the states. How can you deny gays the right to serve in the military? Especially a volunteer army that is continuously speaking out about not having enough bodies.

According the cnn.com, since being introduced, the American military has discharged somewhere around 13,500 gay soldiers because of their sexual preference. This is an astounding number and pretty much shocks me.

I'll admit, I'm too chicken shit to want to go overseas and risk being blown up by a terrorist woman who has packed C4 beneath her bra. I guess you could say some of these gay men or more man than I.

Thoughts? Is this a good policy?

This story out of Colorado -- Hippies....

Moving on...

Police in CO have arrested a 28-year-old man accused of passing out in a McDonald's play area and telling his children to bite, scratch and attack anyone that came near him.

It turns out the police were called and -- sure enough -- the children listened to daddy and attempted to attack police.

At one point, the 28-year-old man was heard telling his children to "bite the officers' faces off!"

Eventually police did what they do best (tased the man) and hauled him to jail.

The children were euthanized...Okay I made that up. The rest is true however.

Police said the man had a previous arrest warrant for failing to appear. He now faces charges of second-degree assault on an officer and possession of weed.

Colorado Springs -- never knew you were that crazy. Must be the altitude.

An atheist group is coming out against the U.S. Postal Service because of a new stamp that depicts Mother Teresa for her time and service in continuously bettering the world we live in.

But, she happened to be religious so a group of Atheists in the states are coming out against the deceased heavenly nun.

The Freedom FROM Religion Group is asking it's members to "protest the stamp" and do all it can "to show the darker side of Mother Teresa."

Darker side?

The woman will eventually achieve Sainthood and she's noted for her compassion, charity and general worldliness. She had the upmost respect for the dignity that resides in each person around the world.

It's as if this group of Atheists has nothing better to do then sit around an wait for the U.S. gov. to present anything and everything having to do with religion and immediately denounce it as if it's being shoved down their throats.

If you don't want to support the stamp then don't support the stamp. It's not as if the U.S. Postal Service is doing away with all stamps and only printing religious ones from now on. Further, how about the Atheists make their own stamp and submit them to the U.S. gov. They have just as much of a right to be on a stamp as Mother Teresa.

So the Freedom From Religion Foundation wants to step out against an embattled century-old lady whose entire goal in life was to prevent world hunger with humility and compassion?

Nice going...you're not making any friends.

If you don't like it, make your own stamp...but don't come out against a deceased elderly lady just because she believed in a higher power.

So it's all fun and games until someone gets a pie in the face...then it's hilarious.

PETA has been pretty active lately. Pieing a local minister in the face, protesting somewhere in the world at all times and now coming out against Punxsutawney Phil -- The groundhog.

In light of all these events, it's time for a PETA rant.

The organization is starting to get on my nerves. It's nice when they send out their models to prance around half-naked with bunny ears on, but it stops right there. Even the pie in the face was pretty hilarious even though I felt bad for the minister. (See pie in the face below)

However, now they want to replace Phil with a robotic groundhog? What? The only way this group will ever be happy is if every animal on Earth is free and running in the streets.

I'm all for blasting a dear in the head if their population is running out of control. I'm also okay with euthanizing pets if no one wants them. Clubbing seals is okay as well seeing as the natives have been doing it for a half millennium.

These are the same leaf-eating idiots that are against eating meat because it's harmful to the animals. I'm not sure what they don't understand about the food chain, but we're at the top. The world doesn't lose anything following the death of baby seals or Bambi. We need to eat meat to survive and be healthy. I'm sorry, your wrong, we cannot go around eating tree leaves and beans and sustain healthy, active lives.

If you want to be a vegetarian, go for it. But don't tell me I'm a deplorable person because I like deer sausage. If we were stranded on a deserted island...I'd eat you.

What the hell is going on in Poland? The nazi's don't own you anymore. Get some decent health care over there, at least adequate health care to determine if a man is still alive or not.

Katovice, Poland discovered on Jan. 26 that they burried a man while he was still breathing. Following a brief service, an undertaker went to retreive some items the family placed in the coffin. It turns out that when he opened the coffin, his arm grazed the man's neck and he felt a pulse. The undertaker felt the man's neck once more only to discover that the man's heart was indeed still beating -- "He's alive!"

The man was pulled from the coffin and rushed to hospital where he was released a few weeks later. An actual story involving the walking dead -- remarkable.

The man, Josef Guzy, 76, collapsed near his barn and was pronounced dead at the scene a few weeks earlier. "The undertaker saved my life," he said. "I am so grateful. The first thing I did when I got out of hospital was take him a pot of honey."

Honey? Another reason to think polish people are strange -- besides the fact they insert you into the ground while you're still breathing.

CRAZY EXTORTION CASE INVOLVING A RAT and a MICROWAVE...

A woman in Appleton, WI is under arrest for allegedly tyring to extort 500k from a restaurant after finding a cooked rat in her sandwich.

The problem?

She put it there herself.

Debbie R. Miller, 43, entered a guilty plea yesterday to felony extortion. It turns out Ms. Miller told the restaurant she would alert the media and take the case to police if they didn't buy her off. So, they so intelligently took the rat and gave it to the police for forensic testing. The testing revealed it was a domestic mouse that had been zapped in the microwave and placed there post meal preparation.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 8.

Not only did she have 10 minor plastic surgeries, but now she's on tour telling everyone about it. I wonder how much she's paid per talk show interview? 10k...20k...more? I can tell you that she certainly isn't doing it for free and she's certainly making a lot of green.

So Heidi Montag is doing everything right. She had some plastic surgery, bettered herself and is now trying to be as ridiculous as possible so people will continuously call her for interviews, TV spots and more. Everyone thinks she's crazy, but I know the truth.

She's not crazy. She's making tons of money from magazine covers, to inside edition appearances and more. Do you really think she's planning on going "bigger." No. She's just saying that stuff to get a rise out of people so more and more magazines and talk shows will follow her.

A career low in scoring averaging 14 ppg and a brief "retirement" gets you a first team all star selection. Only in the NBA.

However, I don't necessarilly disagree with the decision because everyone loves AI an the game is pretty much just about the fans. I'm sure there will be some outrage over it, but for what?

It's not like this game means anything to NBA fans or players. Maybe the NBA should use the MLB model and have the all-star game actually mean something. Although I don't really agree with that either because it potentially punishes a team that may have a better season long record.

So the debate is over. AI does not statistically deserve to be in the All-Star game...But doesn't he deserve to be their simply because the fans like him, voted him in and want to see him play?

BANNING THE DICTIONARY, Why I'm okay with it...

A school in Southern CA will ban a Merriam-Webster dictionary because it contains the word "oral sex."

My first thought had nothing to do with whether or not it should be banned. I wondered why oral sex was even in the dictionary because it's two separate words...

Anyway.

Here's why I'm okay with them banning it. Even though I'm sure most of the kids already know what the word means, a parent has come out against that word being in the dictionary, not the dictionary as a whole.

Why not just remove that dictionary and bring in an elementary level dictionary?

People want to get tough and say that it's wrong and how dare this woman want to remove the dictionary. I say if it's inappropriate then get it out of there and get in a different dictionary. Who cares...they should be learning, not arguing over a single word (two words) in the dictionary.

So I am for them removing that dictionary as I can see why some would call it offensive.

You wouldn't show fourth graders movies with oral sex and nudity in the classroom...so why would you allow them to look at books that talk about it?

Although I'm sure a majority of these kids know what it is and are probably doing it...why not just take it out and replace it with a different dictionary?

He lists out some of the most scandalous items that a majority of the public not only do not know about, but also won't believe.

Like...

1) Screech has had relations with more than 2,000 women.

2) Mario Lopez allegedly raped a girl and NBC paid the girl to keep it hush...

3) The cast members frequently smoked weed in their dressing rooms...

4) Dustin Diamond had relations with NBC's VP according to the book.

This is a story from last week.

A TTC employee fell asleep at work and a freelance blogger snapped him.

Members of the community are really coming out against this guy because our TTC fares just went up from 2.75 to 3.00. (For those of you who don't know what that is...it's a subway price.)

So this guy falls asleep while we pay more? A lot of people are outraged while others really don't care and think the guy should get a break.

What do you think? Should you be fired if you're caught sleeping on the job?

The guy works for a powerful union so most likley nothing will happen to him, but it still raises the question...is this acceptable behaviour? Would you fire him?

HARDEST MAN ALIVE? Kenyan survives leopard attack by ripping out Tongue...

Daniel M'Mburugu might be the hardest man on the planet.

The 73-year-old grandpa was farming in the highlands of Kenya when out of nowhere a leopard decided to take a shot at him.

According the M'Mburugu, the leopard jumped on top of him taking him to the ground. As he was armed with a machete he did his best to free up his hands but couldn't.

The story goes that M'Mburugu -- knowing he was in a crap load of trouble -- decided he had one option, to tear out the leaopard's tongue.

M'Mburugu says he reached through the leopards teeth and deep into its' mouth before ripping out the leopard's entire tongue. The leopard retreated into the woods never to be seen again and minus a tongue...

M'Mburugu suffered some scratches and bite wounds but, in the end, proved he was the baddest Kenyan (or person) on Earth. Lars.

ELDERLY MAN, 83, takes 99-year-old to the cleaners...damn...

A dispute in a parking lot led to an 83-year-old man mopping the floor with Steve Pulwer's, 99, face.

Apparently the 99-year-old man was taking his trash to the curb when the 83-year-old man pulled into a parking spot Pulwer deemed illegal.

Pullwer says he knocked on the man's car window only to have a word when all hell broke lose.

"He punched me between the eyes and broke my nose."

It would have been pretty interesting to see these old men dancing toe-to-toe in the street throwing slow-mo punch after slow-mo punch.

I'd be willing to bet both are ex-hockey players seeing as two normal minded century-old men don't usually square-off blow-for-blow.

Why? It's not like they planned for the earthquake and I'm sure they planned the trip much further in advance than last week.

So is it ethical for cruise ships to be stopping through ports in Haiti that were less affected by the quake?

To tell you the truth..I don't really think it matters either way.

It's like telling people to not visit Sri Lanka because a tsunami rolled through. Maybe not completely comparable but I really don't see anything wrong with it.

Listen, someone/someplace in the world suffers everyday. There's always a drought, always famine and always a disaster. Do I encourage people sailing to Haiti to donate? Of course...

But I have no problem with them continuing the cruise they paid for months in advance.

If people had the energy and drive to help out everyday like we're seeing in Haiti...the world be in a lot better shape. Unfortunately it takes a deadly and devastating earthquake to propel people into action.

So a republican won in Massachusetts.

Conservatives are rejoicing that their prayers have been answered while the libs are crying in the streets that their entire agenda will be vetoed.

After reading the Globe and Mail today their was a quote from a prominent republican saying that "now the conservatives have the power to veto every piece of legislation the Dems put forward."

So basically the republicans are vowing to disrupt everything having to due with the legislature while the Dems won't concede that they should give in to some of the rights' issues.

How does anything ever get done?

It doesn't..and that's why it never really matters....

Because these two sides can never come to terms with anything. I had no choice but to completely distance myself from both sides of the aisle and become a Libertarian for the reasons that follow.

1) Clint Eastwood, Howard Stern and Trey Parker are prominent Libertarians...

2) The word means to "believe in Liberty" and justice...

3) Libertarians want to get rid of the idiots and Washington and give them as little power as possible over our lives.

4) Many Libertarians are adamantly against abortion but still do not want the gov. in their lives...

5) Mess with me...I'll mess with you...Leave me alone...I'll leave you alone...

6) Libertarians are against any limits on expression unless it insights bodily harm or injures another therefore infringing on their liberty.

7) Drugs should be legalized and taxed NOW.

8) Lower taxes that allow people to keep what they earn. Get gov. spending way down. It has ballooned out of control.

9) The United States should abolish the draft registry among men that turn 18. Talk about taking away your liberty forcing someone to sign up for a potential war when they turn 18. Glad I'm in Canada.

10) The founding fathers of the U.S. constitution were libertarian saying leave us alone England, fighting in the revolution to get away from gov. rule and domination. The Founding fathers were true libertarians. Just read the Bill of Rights.

I never took the SATs, I was an ACT kind of guy. But a group based in Seoul, South Korea are being charged with "Time Zone Cheating" on the college entry exam.

Two students living in the states are under investigation for reportedly receiving SAT answers hours before the US-based test was set to begin.

You see, the test is also administered in foreign countries in separate languages. Because South Korea is halfway around the world, an advisor in the oriental nation fed two U.S. high school students answers to the exams he received a day earlier.

A man, only identified as Kim, will be charged with interfering with a US-based Educational Testing Service. Not sure what charges will be laid, but maybe he'll lose a finger or two. From what I hear, the far east doesn't take kindly to cheaters and thieves.

The reason the man assisted the students????

The two students had travelled to Korea a year before to receive special training and experiences to help them perform on the tests. Kim said he "felt pressure to see them succeed on the test" after they paid him a combined $26,600 for a dozen classes.

US Health Care, OHIO pays for Bat Bite and Rabid animals...

This is kinda strange. A man in Ohio is being compensated $1500 for a rabid bat bite as per the Ohio law that allows a person hurt by a 'rabid animal' to seek the county's help with medical bills.

Which brings me to my next point. Why wouldn't insurance pay for a rabid bat bite?

Apparently the bitten man received $5,000 in medical bills because of the amount of shots and procedures he had to undergo to minimize the risk of rabies.

Basically, the man lost $3,500 in the ordeal.

So, first, Why won't insurance pay for medical bills incurred by RABID BAT BITE, and, second, if I get randomly assaulted by a rabid vampire bat can I go after the province of Ontario?

I think these are astonishing developments in the wake of global terrorism and the global financial meltdown. At a time we should all be turning to God the UK's gov. is denying everyone that right.

At the peak of the war close to 30,000 American men and women were fighting in Iraq. This is not only a testament to their success in capturing and killing an evil dictator that was responsible for the death of hundred of thousands of Kurds, but also a time to reflect on the war.

We should take something away from this decade-long invasion. Leave other countries alone and let them fight for themselves.

Don't get me wrong, Iraq is a better place without Saddam. He was a lunatic that without hesitation used chemical weapons on his own citizens living inside his borders. THIS IS FACT!

Foxnews reports 851 American deaths in Iraq. Hopefully people there are leading better lives as a result.

But let's ask ourselves this...Is Iraq more safe now than a decade ago?

The answer - NO

Roadside, hotel and car bombs will continue to torment the people of that nation for years, if not decades to come. For some reason differing sects in that nation will always produce extremists whose aim is blowing up hospitals, schools and children.

In my opinion the US needs to pack it in and get home. Leave the mess in Afghanistan alone. Most of the people there would rather just live their lives in primitive villages and get on with it. We must realize that some third world nations will never be safe, secure and stable for the people that live there.

Now some will compare the Taliban to Nazi's saying..."Well Kurt, should the coalition forces have let the Nazi's get away with killing the Jews..."

This is nowhere close to the same. The Nazi's systematically wiped out an entire nation of people because of their ethnic beginnings.

The Taliban is simply a disorganized group of extremists that will never go away and will continue to fight on. Let them have their place amongst the mountains of Pakistan. If they start performing ethnic cleansing rituals then we'll go in and waste them. But until then, let's pack it in and save our own people before going over their and getting our arms and legs blown off by IED's.

Let's focus on our own items at home before another soldier dies for absolutely no reason.

Julia Laack of Wisconsin stole beef jerky and a lighter from a corner store last October before being tracked down by police.

When police showed up at her door the disturbed woman began yelling at her son to throw off the cops while threatening to take off her clothes so she couldn't be arrested naked.

So apparently you can't be arrested if naked? When did this come about?

AP is reporting the courts just handed down a 6-month jail sentence.

What an opportunity for the NBA to make a statement. You carry an elicit gun, you are banned for life. Hell, Pete Rose simply placed a few bets on baseball and got a life time suspension.

What message is the NBA sending to its players and the league if they simply let Gilbert Arenas serve his probation and continue receiving paycheques in the future?

What a missed opportunity for the league to suspend Gilbert for life and prove once and for all that if you're involved in gun activity, you're not going to play in the league. Instead, they're brushing it under the rug and the courts might even allow him to get off without jail time.

CNN.com reports that the district attorney will seek the low end of a gun charge sentence which calls for six months to two years of probation, jail time or a combination of both. Basically, he may get no jail time at all.

In my opinion the league should make a statement. Pending league contract rules, ban him from the league with or without pay. Just make a statement that says you'll be severely punished for this kind of dangerous activity.

It's too bad he didn't follow in the footsteps of his New York Giants predecessor and shoot himself in the leg.

This is really strange. Apparently it's illegal for teenage girls to take naked pictures of themselves and send them to whomever they want willingly. At least that's what a panel of judges are trying to determine in Philly.

So what do you think?

It's alleged that these pornographic photos were discovered by a local school district on the cell phones of three high school girls. But these weren't just anyone's porno images, they were their own.

As of right now a district judge is not allowing for the district attorney to charge the girls with anything because he believes the photographs are covered under U.S. first amendment rights.

However, the county district attorney says he "will charge the three high school girls with child pornography if they don't agree to be placed on probation, participate in a five-week re-education program and be subject to random drug testing."

Why should these girls receive such scrutiny? Isn't it bad enough they've already been exposed by their own school. If I were the parents I'd come back at the school with a lawsuit for taking my daughters phone and scanning it without some kind of search warrant.

Don't get me wrong, It may or may not be appropriate for these girls to be doing this, but that's not for the district attorney to decide.

If these girls willingly took pictures of themselves sans a third party contributor, then I say tell them they're promiscuous, but don't make them undergo drug testing and probation.

When are we going to start focusing on catching the bad people rather than the recreational marijuana and sexting addicts?

While the courts and district attorney waste their time on this case, there are much worse people and much less moral people screwing up the lives of others.

Focus your attention on them. Not a bunch of horny teenage girls that took nakey pics of themselves.

It brought a grin to my face to see all of that corruption finally meet destruction. An earthquake didn't hit this nation earlier this week. This nation has been a joke and a catastrophe for decades.

A lot of famous, popular icons around the world are simply breathing a sigh of relief it wasn't them in that bashed out SUV.

It's estimated that somewhere around 50% of men will cheat or have cheated on their wives, according to a Newsweek article in 2008.

I understand that 50% of men are not Tiger Woods but it just goes to show you the hypocrisy that has consumed this story.

There's a good chance that someone covering the Tiger Woods saga for a news source is cheating on their wife/husband.

In fact, there's a 50% chance Tiger's wife has cheated on him..and at least 1 of his 2 kids will cheat on their potential spouses.

Linking Religion with Natural Disasters...

Pat Robertson is at it again.

The outspoken evangelical who consistently links natural disasters with religion blames the devil for the earthquake, and apparently the fault line, that resides beneath the tiny Caribbean island.

"You know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free, Robertson said. "But ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other."

Obviously the only answer that would make any kind of sense would be to equate this natural disaster with the Christian God.

Sorry Pat, I just don't see it this way.

Did you know scientists have been warning Caribbean nations about this for years stating that a fault zone on the south side of the island posed "a major seismic hazard." Well, it's known as the the Enriquillo-Plantain Garden fault zone.

For once can we have a natural disaster without bringing God into it.

Remember when Pat Robertson said Katrina was a punishment from God on the people of New Orleans? You know what I think? I think New Orleans was a disaster waiting to happen seeing as it resides below sea level south of a giant lake and north of a giant ocean.

Pull your head out Pat.

As a Christian, I believe the ultimate natural disaster will come when God wants it to, and, we'll know it's from God! As for right now, please try to understand that there will be quakes, tornadoes, floods, volcanoes, tsunamis and more because they occur naturally on Earth.

No more free peanuts, multiple drinks, pretzels, crackers, pillows, blankets, and now, checked baggage fees are going up once again.

Delta airlines will raise it's checked bag fees once again in an effort to gauge their customers more than they already are.

You know, it's amazing that airline rates continue to rise while gas prices subside. Remember during the Summer months a few years back when gas prices reached $4.00? Airlines were talking of cutbacks and increased fares because they were losing money due to rising oil prices.

Someone tell the airlines that gas prices have been declining for the past year...why haven't airline prices?

It used to cost me $300 to fly straight through from Toronto to Kansas City. Now it's around $500 to fly that same route and they take me through a pile of layovers, twists, turns and more.

Airlines combined to amass nearly 1 billion dollars in 2009 from checked baggage fees alone, according to cnn.com. What are we getting in return for these fees?

I don't even like peanuts or pretzels, but can we at least get some customer service?

When you're standing in line to check in at any kiosk it's like your being funnled into a train heading to a German internment camp. The customer service is THAT bad.

The Blog is back after a substantial number of requests...and by that I mean one.

I can see it now. Drake students on 34th St. walking up and down frat row watching for police and campus security because a number of them are under age. Those were the good 'ol days.

But right now, one such frat is under scrutiny and may even be responsible for having an alcoholic brand completely banned in the state.

And so the story goes...

Some goofball named Nathan Erickson wanted to be a Phi Delt so badly he thought he'd impress his future frat boy buddies by drinking so much 151-proof Everclear he landed in the hospital with a blood-alcohol level of .50, six-times the legal limit.

By drunk terms, this was astronomical and it's amazing this freshmen is alive.

"The danger is how quickly that can elevate someone to a state of intoxication," said Iowa's alcoholic beverage admin.

Uh ya, it's Everclear.

The worst part about this story is that I can only imagine young Nathan's parents completely blaming everyone other than their son and going after the school and the national fraternity for taking part in this "hazing" incident.

Well, it wasn't hazing...it was just some kid trying to impress older, mature college students by drinking so much he ended up on a gurney with a stomach pump -- A Drake legend.

I wanted them to trade this guy last year when he had some stock. No one in the league would take this guy for a second rounder at this point.
